Science Demo - Resonance

1. What I think will happen when the sound is played for the wine glass is it will break and shatter at the right resonance.

2. What really happened was it did not shatter but I saw it shake a little bit.

3. What does resonance have to do with bridge building?- because if you get the right residence or you don't build it right than the bridge will crumble.

1. Resonance -putting in energy at just the right time to make more time.

2. Hertz-how many times per second

3. Frequency-how many times something happens (rate)

4. Oscillate- to move back and forth (rhythm)

Hypothesis 1-I think that when Mr. Randy drops both rocks: the small one will fall first.


When Mr. Randy dropped both rocks what really happened was: they both fell at the same speed

Hypothesis 2-I think that when Mr. Randy drops both pieces of paper, the paper will: both hit the ground at the same time.


When Mr. Randy dropped both pieces of paper what really happened was: one was more aerodynamic so it floated around and the crumbled up paper hit the ground without floating.
